How the conversion works

Every weight-to-volume conversion divides the weight by how much the ingredient weighs per cup:

cups = grams ÷ grams per cup

So 250 grams of all-purpose flour, at 120 grams per cup, is 250 ÷ 120 = 2.08 cups — near enough 2 cups plus a tablespoon. The same 250 grams of honey, at 340 grams per cup, is only 0.74 cups.
